About Us

Vann York began his career at General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC).  In 1968 he joined his father in law at a small Chevrolet dealership in Pilot Mountain NC.  Two years later he and his wife, Anne, purchased a Pontiac dealership in High Point NC.  That dealership became the cornerstone of Vann York Auto Group.  Today Vann York Auto Group operates four dealerships representing ten manufacturers.

Vann and Anne’s son, Greg, joined the business in 1987.  Greg first worked overseeing the Toyota franchise, took the reins of the Honda dealership in 1990 and became President of the Vann York Auto Group in 2000.

The organization developed and maintains a stellar reputation that comes from “Building Relationships that Last”.   Vann York Auto Group has been named the Best Auto Dealer in High Point by the High Point Enterprise newspaper Reader’s Poll every year since the poll began in 2003.  The Auto Group receives high praise from its franchise organizations, community partners, and trade groups.  The recognition from franchisors includes:
