Vann York Auto Group Acquires Kia and Hyundai Dealerships in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. (March 13, 2026) — Vann York Auto Group, based in High Point, N.C., announced the acquisition of Carolina Kia and Carolina Hyundai today. The stores, located on North Main Street in High Point, will be branded Vann York Kia and Vann York Hyundai. This acquisition marks the 10th and 11th franchises operated by Vann York Auto Group.

“Acquiring the Kia and Hyundai franchises aligns with our company’s strategy in building a stable and scalable business centered in the North Carolina Triad,” said Greg York, President and CEO of Vann York Auto Group and second-generation dealer. “The Kia and Hyundai stores have built a strong reputation in our community, and I look forward to working with those teams to build relationships with their customers.”

The purchase of Kia and Hyundai follows Vann York Auto Group’s 2023 acquisition of Strider Subaru and Strider Buick GMC in Asheboro, NC. Vann York Auto Group owns and operates eight dealerships, a paint and collision center, and a finance company.

       York will be dealer principal of both stores, and Bryan Lawlor, Chief Operating Officer at Vann York Auto Group, will oversee the transition and operations.

Vann York Auto Group acquired the stores from Carolina Auto Group, based in Wilkesboro, N.C. Owned by the McNeill family, Carolina Auto Group opened Carolina Kia in 2003 and Carolina Hyundai in 2006.

Vann York Kia and Vann York Hyundai will be offering grand opening specials in sales, service, and parts throughout March and April.
